Flying Eagles arrive Christchurch ahead of Germany clash

The Flying Eagles have touched down in Christchurch, ahead of their round of 16 match against Germany on Thursday.

Taiwo Awoniyi grabbed a brace as Nigeria’s U-20 team beat Hungary 2-0 in their last group game to finish second. They will now face the European champions, who have not tasted defeat in the tournament.
The 28-man delegation that arrived in the South Island, was made up of 18 players and 10 officials.

Manu Garba is expected to take training on Monday evening.

Nigeria will face either Ghana or Mali in the quarter-final if they overcome the Germans.
