Amelia Abbott turned five last month and despite her leukaemia, all she can think about is starting 'big girl school' and growing up to be a 'princess ballerina'. Only a few months ago, her dreams seemed impossible, but thanks to a perfect bone marrow match with her three-year-old brother Lachy, her odds of survival have dramatically increased. The Abbott family from Australia's Gold Coast are adept at overcoming the odds - after all, they were told Lachy was only a 25 per cent chance of being a match. Lachy had 280ml of marrow removed, which was transplanted into Amelia just a few hours later on July 9. 'He woke and all he wanted to do was see Amelia but she was in isolation so he waved at her through the window,' mum Michelle Abbott (left) said. When the pair reunited five weeks later, Michelle was glad to have her camera on hand to capture the heartwarming moment (above right). 'He ran into the room and they just embraced,' she said. 'They don't go well when they don't see each other for a while.' Amelia has been in isolation for 100 days and finds out her prognosis on Thursday.

'Their bond will never be broken': The three-year-old boy saving his sister's life with a bone marrow transplant - and little Amelia, 5, who calls him her 'Superhero'
