Ben Affleck is in the superhero business for the long haul.
Warner Bros. has just announced that the 42-year-old hunk will return in 2017 as the caped crusader in Justice League Part 1.
Affleck is still filming his portrayal of the masked vigilante in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, scheduled for 2016.

He'll be back: Warner Bros. has just announced Ben Affleck will return in 2017 as the caped crusader in Justice League Part 1
But that's not all, as Warner Bros has also announced a new franchise with one of Hollywood's biggest action stars.
Black Adam is an anti-hero (originally a villain) who plays foil and often foe to the wizard Shazam in the DC comics series.

Getting into character: Affleck on set of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
The roster for the coming years for DC Comics' films is impressive.
Zack Snyder‘s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is set to be followed immediately afterwards by Suicide Squad that same year.
Then
the following year sees Gal Gadot get the chance to play Wonder Woman
as Justice League Part 1 with Affleck, Henry Cavill, and Amy Adams.

He's ready: Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is set to star as Black Adam in the film version of the DC comic Shazam

Hints: The Rock tweeted a snap from
the comics with the caption 'Kneel at his feet or get crushed by his
boot. My honor to become... #BlackAdam #TheAntiHero #DCComics'
In 2018 sees two more DC heroes hit the screen with The Flash and Aquaman.
The following year, The Rock stars in Shazam while the second installment of The Justice League is scheduled to hit theatres.
But that's not all as Cyborg, starring Ray Fisher, will arrive in 2020 as the Green Lantern is also set for a reboot.
